There is nothing like a Fall Foliage trip to New England! I will be signing my latest books at The Thrifty Gypsy, 531 Main Street, Sturbridge, MA 01518 on October 3, 2026, from noon to 4 p.m. There will also be two raffles for two of my books, MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS, subtitled, CHRISTMAS UNLOCKED; and WISDOM FOR A HURTING WORLD. I am a holistic health counselor and write about self-healing options. Check out my website at: https://LindaHourihan.com.
Raffle winner of WISDOM FOR A HURTING WORLD will have the choice of the 350-page version, or the 590-page holistic health counseling version.
The second raffle will be for my fiction book, MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS, subtitled, CHRISTMAS UNLOCKED. This historical adventure includes the current working farm which was originally built around 1815 by Pliny Freeman and his family. It functioned as a typical New England family farm during the early 19th century. Old Sturbridge Village portraits the 1830s.
My research shows that the Underground Railroad was alive and well and in this Massachusetts area. I have not heard this talked about at the times I have attended Old Sturbridge when I have been there. However, MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS does include a fictional dynamic story in Chapter 7 telling of how the Underground Railroad could have stopped near this site since this human railroad was known to have had safe houses which were called “stations.” History shows that there were several homes in this area that helped this trail to freedom move from the south and up through Worcester and Northampton.
MYSTERY OF THE STURBRIDGE KEYS is about a grandmother who takes her two daughters and her four grandchildren to Old Sturbridge Village, a living historical museum that exists in Sturbridge, Massachusetts. Half of the family time travels into ancient and pre-history, while the other have of the family tour the historic village and learn about the Underground Railroad, which was alive and well during the Old Sturbridge Village time frame.
The quote on the front of this book says, “This poignant book weaves an interesting tale of possibility, shedding new light on old subjects.” ~ John T. Hourihan, Jr., author of Play Fair And Win and Beyond the Fence Converging Memoirs, co-authored with Amanda Eppley.

Audio Meditations – Universal Wisdom Enlightenment Mastery
These are timeless meditations designed to assist you. STRESS MANAGEMENT was created following my graduation from the American Institute of Holistic Health and Wellness which is accredited and certified by The National Accreditation and Certification Board.
Audio Meditations 2-6 were professionally recorded at the 3-day Celestial Retreat which I lead in 2010 at The Guest House, a retreat house in Connecticut. It was attended by many people who participated in the exercises to activate the lymphatic systems in active movement sessions, and Yoga sessions, meditations including The Secret, and audios by the late “Abraham” Hicks, Jerry and Ester Hicks.
I will be signing all my books sold on this day, giving away books for raffles, and having sales on these books!
The Thrifty Gypsy is the best metaphysical store I have discovered yet. If you are looking for unique and one-of-a-kind gifts for yourself and that special someone who also loves you.
Since this is a worldwide blog and my readership is from all over the USA, as well as from the 203 countries, territories and protectorates in the world spreading empathy, compassion and genuine love, know that there are numerous hotels and restaurants in the area.
