This blog is an advocate for the rights and freedom for all who value the life of all humanity.
There is so much more the ACLU must do to secure reproductive freedom for every person in this country – and that is true for the rest of our civil liberties. The ACLU has attorneys, organizers, and volunteers in all 50 states, D.C., and Puerto Rico – and has the bold, ambitious, and effective strategies needed to take on these challenges.
With your support, the ACLU will:
- Defend and expand reproductive freedom wherever possible by working to block state abortion bans in the courts, mobilizing people across the country against abortion bans, and filing lawsuits like the one the ACLU filed most recently over Alabama’s de facto ban on birth centers.
- Fight against classroom censorship laws and book bans that threaten everyone’s First Amendment right to learn and the ability of students and educators to discuss ideas freely and safely with one another.
- Promote racial justice by fighting the impact of the Supreme Court’s decision to restrict affirmative action, demanding an overhaul of our criminal justice system, transforming racist policing institutions, and more.
- Defend LGBTQ rights by taking states to court over unconstitutional laws that ban gender-affirming care and creating a Drag Defense Fund to protect our First Amendment rights.
- Protect free and fair elections for all in the lead-up to 2024, including fighting in Congress for federal voting rights legislation and doubling down on our proactive efforts to increase access to the ballot box across the states.
That’s why the ACLU needs your membership before the year-end deadline: aclu.org
Thank you ahead of time for all you do to protect and defend the freedoms within all humanity.
God Bless Everyone Everywhere
