Memorial Day is the day America has set aside to honor our fallen heroes. It is a day of respect. Let us never forget.
Memorial Day is the day when all who treasure the noble and honorable service to the United States of America are remembered, elevating freedom and liberty over tyranny and bondage, in order that our precious and long-hard fought for human rights remain preserved.
This is a life and death matter, as those whose lives were ended all too soon and their families and friends can attest. The land of the free and the home of the brave was not lightly handed over so those who have never fought in wars could forget the privilege they now have, or confuse Memorial Day with Veteran’s Day.
Memorial Day celebrates the men and women who have died as they valiantly served the United States of America. Veteran’s Day honors our military heroes still living testaments to the ideals of helping to promote better lives in this world. This clarification needs to be made in these days of confusion by some who have never served.
Even today’s weather is crying for our fallen heroes with each raindrop soaking the Earth in remembrance of their allegiance to our country’s ideals of freedom, liberty and justice for all, in their total gifts of their lives in trying to make the lives of everyone on Earth more fully human.
Until we finally arrive in a world where war becomes unnecessary, where problems can be solved with empathy and compassion rather than with tools of destruction, we pause today to honor those who stood up for us when we could not stand up for ourselves.
It is through the active show and proof of love, love of country, love of truth, love of integrity, love of honor, love of mutual respect, love of all humanity today that we shine the Light of Freedom, Light of Liberty, and Light of Justice as a beacon of equality worldwide.
Yes, like every other country in the world comprised of imperfect human beings who make mistakes all the time, America today still stands for Freedom, Liberty, and Justice, correcting its faults along the way of life as they surface to the top. It is the constant effort of raising our sights to valiant and noble goals we achieve, even with our embarrassing moments in full view of the whole world to see.
Freedom, Liberty, and Justice are God-given qualities. They are not granted by any government, nor any person, no matter who they are or what role they have in this life. Every human being born upon Earth naturally has the Freedom to be who they are regardless of gender – age – race – color – creed – or ethnicity; what they are in their work and accomplishments- since there is no caste system in America – including a faux financial caste system which God could not care less about in any country; where they are regardless of where on this precious Earth they travel; why they are here on Earth at this very moment with their individual dharma and mission in their life; when they are born at any moment in past, present, or future history; and how each person perceives the best way to live the life in which they find themselves.
Today we pause, acknowledge what has been done for us by others who valiantly served our country so we could all have better, more humane lives in a world that tempts all by greed, power, and all those qualities our fallen heroes have fought hard against, expending the last drop of blood to serve and protect the Freedom, Liberty, and Justice we all have today.
God Bless Everyone Everywhere
