When we’ve done all we can to right wrong, tip the scales of justice over injustice, and bring truth to
hypocracy, then we turn the matter over to God. We will all given an account of our lives to God, Creator of Heaven and Earth. Jesus came to unite us with His Father. There is no other way to the Father except through the Son. No matter what we do in our earthly lives, whether we say we believe in Him or not, we will each individually face God and account for the things we have thought, said and done.
Here are some Bible verses that explain this:
Romans 14:12 ~ Every one of us will have to give an account of himself (and herself) before God.
Ecclesiastes 12:14 ~ For the true God will judge every deed, including every hidden thing, as to whether it is good or bad.
Matthew 12:36, 37 ~ I tell you that men (all humans) will render an account on Judgment Day for every unprofitable saying that they speak; for by your words you will be declared righteous, and by your words you will be condemned.
Romans 14:17 ~ The kingdom of God is not a matter of eating or drinking, but of justice, peace, and the joy that is given by the Holy Spirit. Whoever serves Christ in this way pleases God and wins the esteem of men (all humans). Let us, then, make it our aim to work for peace and to strengthen one another.
Joy is one of the gifts of the Holy Spirit.
What are the other gifts of the Holy Spirit? They are: charity (genuine love), joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, endurance, mildness, faith, modesty, restraint and chastity. All of these are gifts that come from God. If you find yourself lacking in any one of them, simply ask God for them in a sincere prayer. God listens to a humble heart.
Let us all work in our own lives to foster justice and peace so that the promise of joy may be ours. When we have done all that we can, we turn everything over to God, who knows us better than we know ourselves. God is closer to us than our next breath. You are loved. You are wanted. You are worthy.
God Bless You All
