Healing is possible. Whatever we focus on grows. If we focus on war and retaliation, that will grow.
If we focus on problem solving to find peaceful solutions to difficult international problems, then that will grow.
Jesus Christ could have started a Christian theocracy, but he did not do that.
MAGA and Christian Nationalism, blinded by unholy addictions to violence and war, have hijacked the peaceful, healing and loving words of Jesus and maligned them for their own self-serving agendas, which look noting like what Jesus taught.
Both MAGA and Christian Nationalism confuse the Almighty God, the Father of Jesus Christ, with the renegade acts, not born out of genuine LOVE for one’s neighbor, which Jesus Christ did teach.
Remember, Jesus told Peter to put the sword away. Then Jesus miraculously healed the ear of the Roman soldier that Peter had just cut off. It appears humanity is still learning this important and life-saving message.
All the “holy” wars including today’s wars follow this pattern: “Do what I say, or I will kill you.”
