“Because You Deserve To Feel Better” is the motto I came up with for my holistic health business, The Massage Clinic, in Stratford, Milford, Orange, and West Haven Connecticut when it first began in 2003.
My husband and I were driving down from Laconia, New Hampshire where he and I helped to start the Laconia Daily Sun newspaper, which is still thriving today. We were brainstorming the motto on which I was to build a successful holistic health healing business prior to its opening.
I had been serving the Laconia Daily News by selling ads and writing feature stories when I wasn’t attending the Dove Star Institute of Holistic Health and Healing in Hooksett, New Hampshire. Upon graduating, I began The Massage Clinic, about an hour outside of New York City.
I decided upon “Because You Deserve To Feel Better,” because all humanity deserves to feel better by holistic health ordinary means whenever possible. Since that time, I have seen my slogan used in other such businesses, which makes me smile. No one deserves to feel pain and anguish if relief is possible.
I personally held over 5,000 appointments in those 8 years until my retirement. I hired 9 other therapists to cover the hours in the other offices. In total, the other therapists and I held over 8,000 appointments in those 8 years.
I gave free monthly meditations to the community on the first Sunday evening of every month to help everyone to reduce stress, anxiety, and mental and physical strain in mind, body, and spirit.
I also gave a Celestial Retreat at the Guest House in Connecticut in February 2010 with 5 meditations. The retreat also included daily meals, Yoga, dynamic and uplifting evening movies, and walks in the winter wonderland around the property.
Previously, I made a professionally mastered short Stress Management meditation on CD from my business to help my customers. Each of these meditations are now professionally produced and now available on my new website, both individually and also as a set. They can be downloaded directly to your email.
I gave the AI virtual 21st Century Talk in in September 2025. It was entitled, HEALING POLITICAL, RELIGIOUS AND SOCIAL INDOCTRINATIONS. I was asked to give this talk since I was and still am a dynamic thought leader who unites expertise in leadership, innovation, and wellness worldwide.

Life is what you make it. Make it beautiful. The choice is yours to make.
You also have the freedom to mentally, emotionally, physically, and spiritually make the worst decisions based on the lower energies of retaliation, anger, retribution, sabotage and a host of all other less than honorable traits that strangle your future and that of everyone else with whom you come in contact. You actually can create your own heaven or hell of your own making on earth.
Whatever you focus on is what will grow in your mental, emotional, physical and spiritual garden.
It is January, the time of new beginnings and reflection. Many things are possible for you. Try something new if what you have been doing is not working for you. Do whatever serves your highest good.
Always remember, you are alive by the Eternal Universal Life Force Energy animating your Spirit/Soul. Many teachers, including the Buddha and Jesus among others, teach that this undying Light animates your physical being. It is what keeps you alive.
I have one other piece of solid advice for you. Money is not the bottom line of human success. That is my two cents, but since we have just gotten rid of the penny, perhaps this message will be better understood as, that’s my bottom dollar.
