Bloom Where You Are Planted

Find your corner of the garden on Earth where you live and bloom in the beauty that you are.

You do not have to join a monastery, the club, or chat with like-minded beings to share your gifts with others. You have a lot to offer this world so in need if compassion, harmony, and unity in the abundance of all good things.

You and I cannot humanly put out every fire, every dysfunction, nor every disagreement. But what you and I can do is to live with integrity, honesty, and magnanimity, raising the tone of each and every day with every breath we take.

It helps the world for you to be the best you that you can be. Every time you calm and center yourself, come to grips with the problems of the day, and deal with life in the moment-to-moment choices you make, you send a healing balm throughout your aura which is a positive influence on others, even if they do not recognize it at the time. Your simplest actions of kindness manifest in a way that allows them also to pay it forward. You and I help where, when, and how we can.

Maybe your spot in this world is not at the center of the attention of others.

Perhaps you prefer to bloom by the stream of life rather than in the loud center of it. In this case, you bloom best by sending your sweet fragrance of forgiveness and empathy to yourself, and thereby feeding your soul with the strength and courage it takes to function in a balanced way within your family.

It’s like the parent listening to the instructions of the flight attendant telling the parent to make sure in the event of an emergency, to put the oxygen mask on yourself first, in order for you to be able to help your child.

However, you may feel you are the only one attempting to bloom in the joy and happiness in your corner of the world. Or you may be needing a time out in order that you may assess your best path forward among the multitude of options available to you while everyone else around you is busy with other things.

Bloom where you are planted, even if you are blooming by yourself.

Sometimes life takes us away from the familiar and the ordinary routine of daily living. That does not mean it is time for you to stop blooming. Bloom anyway, in the newness and unfamiliar unfolding of each day. There are still life lessons to learn and beauty to behold.

Or perhaps you need to give yourself your own time out, to reassess, and take stock of the best way forward given new information with which you need to deal. Drop the drama. Turn a new leaf.

It is healthy to refresh yourself, go on a retreat, read an inspirational book, go back to school, or take adult courses available at the nearest college campus. Whatever feeds your soul is a wholesome thing to do. If you have children, you can expand their horizons by encouraging the same thing for them.

Today you have the choice to make your life anything you want. You can decide to make it beautiful by blooming where you are planted.
